The Joint Commission is a voluntary, independent outside accrediting agency that oversees standards and performance for a number of health care industries including home care. Visiting Nurse Home & Hospice pays a substantial fee to be audited and accredited by this esteemed group. Not all home care agencies invest in this oversight, but it is a level of trust and quality accreditation that is similar to the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval for domestic products. More
